Panfish on the Trout Magnet

[Fishinfire]

Place: My local stomping grounds
Time: Morning
Water: Cold and clearing by the day
Jig of choice: Trout Magnet (both under a float and straight jigging)
Color: Salmon (or as my kids call it, mac-n-cheese)

Couldn't keep it in the water for more than a few mins. Almost every cast was a hook up with either Sunnies or Crappies. No huge slabs but dozens caught on the ultra light = a better time than I have been having for weeks now! All caught and released. Impossible to photograph them all.

They're pretty fun on ultralight gear. You can always count on crappie and sunnies for a good time.

Exactly what I been using although I finally was able to got a few nicer ones on tube baits last week. Can't beat the fun on light tackle and them crappies hit it like lil trains!
