For spin fishing a Panther Martin or Blue Fox Vibrax in line spinner. Second place a Kastmaster spoon.
Fly fishing, gold ribbed hare's ear. Second place, woolly bugger.

CP Swing for sure!! When I was a kid I remember my dad bragging about how deadly this lure was. I never paid him any mind until I watched him catch 4 big breeder trout in Verona Park in a few hours. Needless to say the legend of the CP Swing continued.

3 inch bright colored sluggo (i use a bright green/silver color) is my go to in slow current. Use it on a small jig head and jerk it in. It's deadly but never used by anybody else. Outfishes everything else most of the time if you know how to work it. I remember fishing a hole in the north branch of the raritan river, and nobody was catching anything out of like 5 guys. I threw on a sluggo just for the hell of it and was catching trout literally every cast. Needless to say all of the guys were right over my shoulder trying to figure out what I was using lol. I handed a few out to the guys and they started hammering them too.

id take a trout magnet over just about anything. #2 would be a 1/64 chartreuse/yellow shad dart tipped with half a mealie or a wax worm. however there's no way id go anywhere without a 1.5" tube on a 1/32oz jighead. if its raining and cloudy a yellow or black 1/16oz roostertail with a silver blade, ill walk a creek all day with nothing else.

Sluggos catch everything,, I have caught Carp, Bullheads, channel cats, walleyes, SMB, Perch, Pickerel, Pike, trout, etc etc... I usually use a shad like silver/black, but will look for green/silver.. thats probably a great color... bob

Savage Gear 8" 3d Line-thru. :p:D:D
Nothing but Rapalas for me. I carry 2 dozen different colors and sizes, carry spinners but never use them. Favorite has to be Rainbow Trout pattern. You can cast them up fast moving water, down stream, across it doesn't matter.
