Got back into my old ways last night hitting the river with small soft plastics. Started around 11:15. Brisk night--clear and cool; water: pristine.
3rd or 4th cast and my 3" soft plastic got demolished. Thought I had the walleye of my dreams. Then it just started to burn drag--ain't no walleye rippin' like this.
Took about 10 mins but finally landed the 10-12 lb Carp. The fish absolutely crushed the jig. It was buried in her rubbery mouth lol. Never had a Carp eat a jig before. Jimmylivebait joined me a bit after. I had a beast sucker after that which was ass-hooked. After she popped free on the shoreline she turned, winked at me and left me her number. Lol... left a bit after that.
