3-9
After taking my mom's to the dr. I decided to take advantage of the perfect weather. Hit the first cockolla Lake and saw a Tarpon immediately on the surface fed him a piece of bread and pitched a bait to him and it was game on with my first philly Tarpon of the year. After that I walked around looking for more saw plenty but they were very skittish. Tried for some panfish with no takers and saw some HUGE largemouth catfish sunning but they wouldn't touch anything. So I packed up and headed to Lake cockolla and had non stop action on tiny bluegill, perch and bass. All fish caught on crawlers as nothing would touch the jig??
3-10
Before my afternoon patrol i headed back to cockolla college pond. Wind was whipping so I walked in a new direction and caught 2 crappies, 3 largemouths, 3 lil bluegills all before work. Again all on night crawlers as nothing would touch a jig. Fish were still very cold but felt great bending the ultralight!
