Perhaps if the inflatable kayakers didn't insist on inflating and deflating their boats on the ramp it wouldn't be so bad.

"A chain link fence at the end of the gravel lot will also be taken down and moved. Although vehicles will not be permitted in this area, boaters will be able to carry their boats, canoes, kayaks and paddleboards across the field to the reservoir’s edge to launch."
The above is the plan to keep them off the trailered boat ramps.

Sounds like an ill thought out plan, unless they designate the ramp for trailers only. Let's see, carry boat across field or drive up to the water's edge? I know which option I would take.

The new ramp area may be a moot point if the water isn't accessible from ramp.
Apparently the water company plans on keeping the water levels low while they work on the dams and water pumps.
Here is an article in NJ.com about it:

With where the waters edge is now there is still hoofing to be done.
A cart for the kayak to avoid the ramp agitah is the way to go. Well that and getting there before daybreak!
