For food, check out Smoke Signals on the LP strip for good BBQ and ribs. I'd call though because they flooded from cracked pipes due to the cold snap last weekend. Generations is also pretty good too, both are more upscale places for food. As for fishing, what are you looking to get into?

Lake Flower, Saranac lake and the Ausable River are close by! I was there when it was -55 with the wind chill 4 years ago! Didn't do any fishing or boarding do to the lifts being closed due to 75 mph winds! Interesting area, simply breathtaking if you ask me! Outdoor activities like ice climbing and snowshoeing are popular as well as cross country skiing and there are snow mobile trails everywhere! Wanted to do ice fishing when I was there but -55 and high winds kinda made me shy away from that idea. Plenty of food and drink right on Main st in the center of LP! Found all kinds of trouble when I was there as well as winning some money playing pool against some local! Drank for free for 3 days straight! LOL!!!:D

Lake Flower isn't safe as of right now. Just drove by it today and there's patches of open water. If you're just looking for some action, Jones Pond down over by Brighton and Gabriels is a great place for lots of pike, most in the upper teens and mid twenties. If you want more info on it I'd be more than happy to PM you. I'll be out this weekend on Colby looking for trout and salmon, which is another option, but you're not going to see a ton of action.

Wound up drowning ourselves in brews from LP pub, smoke signals and zigzags. Interesting place for sure. We rented a gigantic house that had plenty of room for the Saturday night entertainment :D

Snowmobiles were a no go due to rain. Fishing wasn't really an option...everyone was gin soaked and pickled the whole time lol...thanks for the info guys!
