Im wondering if you can get a boat in right now, I know its usually open idk if the last weekends negative temps skimmed that cove over and if it might have held. thanks for any intel.....

I've heard it's open to put a boat in but I have not seen with my own eyes.

Here is my report,
launched at 7am, about 5 boats already in the water.
saw some NJF'ers Rocco, Scoward, jrock, reddi the redman, saw muskynuts truck...about 25 boats fishing when i left at 1130am.
prob a total of 50 ppl shore fishing by main launch an park office launch combined.
had no trouble using only electric motors. wind was dead until 10am.
don't really have a clue on how to fish the valley so I dropped live shiners on bottom & also jigged small keitechs on jigheads. Thanks Martin at Fins and Furs for the bait.
i drove around the lake until i marked fish on bottom, then fished.
we got 1 pretty good fish n couple smaller guys. had about 5-6 more come sniff our baits but didn't take it.
