Conditions: Partly Cloudy

Wind: Steady

Water: Green tint

Lure: Black/Chartreuse Spinner bait With a gold blade

Place: Well, you know..

I have never caught a fish on a spinner bait ever. Today I decide to give it a whirl. I tie on a spinner bait that I found in a bush a few days ago. Toss it out, reel slowly allowing it to drop down almost to the bottom. BAM! It get crushed. Strong fighter pulling drag. Get it up, Quick photo and off it went. Was the only fish I caught today but I will take it.

Next up I will try a suspending jerk bait. I was talking to another guy and he was pulling in some heffers on a Smithwick suspending lure.

Nice, spinnerbaits are great attraction lures. Come though snags nicely and naturally toothy fish friendly by design!

Great catch, great report. I must have the worst lucky with spinnerbaits, i only have ever caught one small bass on a white 3/8oz . I tend to do much better with in-line spinners and there one of my favorite, if not my favorite lure.
