Where to Bass fishing in Tampa / Sarasota, Fl.?

I am spending a week in Tampa during X-mas holiday. I already hired a guide at the Lake Toho in Orlando. No shiners, probably top water frogs. Last year, I lost 14 lb LM ... still have a nightmare about that.

In between saltwater fishing in Tampa, I plan to do some LM fishing.

Does anyone know where I can bass fishing from the shore in Tampa / Sarasota area?

Hey. I'll be honest, there are small ponds and lake all over tampa. I would drive around with your rod and see what you can find. My girlfriends sister lives on carollwood lake and I usually fish there but I think it's private.
