Friday 12/4 we had Kevin's charter. Had a few first timers and a couple novices on board. Kevin did his job of catching, But he did bring a kid that had a banana . They worked hard trying to catch with super scratchy bites, but they never got the hang really. Chris and Greg caught a couple and Kevin caught the majority. They only finished up with 10 keeps for the day. Def a tough day of fishing.

Thanks guys.

Saturday 12/5 had the all star Jimmy Mac crew aboard today. Always a good time with these fine gentlemen. Started off as a very slow pick in the am. Had to make a couple wiggles due to the screaming north tide. Jim S, put on a show with the light gear! 18+ keepers for that boy today. Jay had almost the same. And everyone else had about a limit. Jimmy Mac broke off a slob, and Mate Darren got smoked by a beast. We put in overtime and despite the scratchy bites again, the boys worked their asses off and boxed 47 nice fish. Just couldn't get the last one and they begged me to go home. A better day, but seemed the lighter gear was the ticket today.

Nice job guys.

We had a great time with Captains Kris and Darren yesterday, and despite the lack of smiles in our picture, we all enjoyed an excellent day of Blackfishing. Kris was out of the barn by 6:00 and did not pull back in until after dark...these two guys worked hard to put us on the fish and get our limit.

Beautiful day on the water, after the sun came up, my fingers came to live again and a little later the lobster shirt came off. The bites were sometimes scratchy and other times a hard thumb. I watched Captain Darren pick out special crab to put down and then saw the hit....I mean a rod thumper on a Super Togger....the whole rod jumped. The SOB, the fish, not Darren, into rock pile and just stayed there like the Mortgage Man in the port corner....the mother would not move. Darren worked it for 15 to 20 minutes but it finally broke off. I had a chubby fish too and it broker the leader on the way up....I leave him/her for you guys today.

One of the fish I caught had a jig in its mouth...the same jig that Ytuna lost weeks before...Darren recognized the knot and leader.....I left the jig with Darren Bill.

Great group of guys, Jim P and Jay G put on a show...nice bites and lock and load for most of the day. Chris, George, Bobby H and I held our own and added to the pile of 47 keepers. If I did not tell Captain Kris let's go home, we would be fishing in the dark!

Great day with old and new friends.
