Gerry, its 7' 2" and have fished 8's and 10's on it no problem. Not sure how it would handle 12 and up just because its been a while since its been fished.

Gerry, they made great blanks, perfect for Blackfish. 100 times better than any of the graphite junk out there. Great all purpose rod.

If the rod was built on the original 7'2" blank, it is probably a model 529.
It would be a great deep water fluke rod, or inshore blackfish, seabass, & ling rod.
