The title pretty much explains it all for me for the last 4 days or so. Been only on the prowl for bass and have seen a few that would put a nice notch in my belt. But DAMN!! I beat the river banks in different areas & probably covered about 4-6 linear miles, casting wherever an opening was. Came out with 3 fish: a small & Lmb at about 5" and a nice smallie @16.5". Better than the skunk out though so I'll definitely take it! Also since I had my boots on, put work into my top secret spot and sweated a nice shoal into the river for better angling position. Hard work pays off, just lace them boots up!!

Beautiful fish, can see why they're called bronze-backs. It's not always about the catching, being out on a beautiful day enjoying the great outdoors beats almost any other alternative you have. And remember every slow trip brings you that much closer to a slammer trip. Everything averages out in life and fishing is no different. Looking forward to your next post with you holding another humongous pike. That fish was a beast in every sense of the word! Great report, good job with the smallie!

A couple fish is better than no fish! That's a great looking Smallie! Persistence pays off always! There's no better place to spend free time then in the great outdoors!
