Like the Revolutionary War crossing at Historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge, some cosmetic improvements will be made and bollards will be placed at either end to prevent cars from crossing. Instead of traffic, the old Pompton span will become a suitable place for recreation, said Muzamil Husain, a manager for Louis Berger Inc., an engineering consulting firm in Morristown who conducted informational meetings in Wayne and Lincoln Park this week.

What kind of recreation?
