Salmon river 9/1

Heard a few reports and noticed a water release was scheduled for last night, had the day off of work so figured a slow day on the river is better then doing choirs at home. Managed 1 for 2 on hooked fish bumped two others and spotted 6-8 other kings. Only saw two other kings on stringers out of a lot of fisherman. Oh well its a start and should only get better here on out

This morning wasn't bad at all, had a few walk past me early then had a large section to myself, this afternoon it was busy, probably 15 from the upper ballpark To the 81 bridge. Not crazy but for the amount of fish definitely busy

Should be a good weekend, good amount of fish in estuary and they are stacked up on the lake plus they are bumping water up to 750cfs for the weekend, think it was 375 today so double the water should help bring more fish in.

Nice fish.. I heard most of them are on the smaller side this year ..and also thinking about coming up this weekend but not sure yet

Seen a bunch of smaller ones, this one was decent even tho the picture doesn't show it and the one that popped off was a very nice fish probably upper 20s.

Water has to be prety low with this dry summer

Was 185cfs for awhile which is definitely pretty low, they bumped it up to 375cfs on Monday night which is a nice level that you can wade easily and get to all the areas you want to. Friday night they will bump up to 750cfs for the holiday weekend which will definitely help bring fish in the river but definitely gotta be careful wading. From what I heard the res is about 6 to 7 ft down so I think it's a waste of water for this time of year but isn't horrible
