Hey everyone!

Been getting settled into college life up here and finally had a free weekend to go out in search of pike. Went out with my roommate and one of his friends on my boat at one of the lakes nearby in hopes that I could use some of my NJ pike knowledge to land them their first pike!

Well, not only did they catch their first pike, but also their second and third! We slammed 8 pike in 4-5 hours, with my roommate's biggest being 27" and his friend's being 23". I also got a new PB at 29"! :D By far the best day I've EVER had pike fishing. If this keeps up I don't think I'll be able to go back to all my skunks on the big P.

Anyways, thought I'd keep you guys updated with what's going on up here. Hope all is well and the fish are biting back in Jersey!

Here's a picture of the 29"er. I won't be posting the others out of respect for my roommate's privacy.

Thanks guys! We fished the busy Lake Flower and were pulling them out of the weeds in about 6-8 feet.

Another update: Got out tonight with some of my other friends on Lower St. Regis and pulled out ANOTHER PB ALREADY! He measured in at 30"! Finally managed to get one in the thirties after working all summer for one! I honestly can't believe that the pike just keep getting bigger and bigger for me!

Way to go man! Glad your staying on top of the fish in the greater north country. Congrats on another new PB Pike! That area your fishing is phenom. So many places to fish it can make you dizzy. Just throw a dart at the map and it will probably land on a lake or random pond. Lol, keep up the good fishing!:D
