Saturday, headed out to the channels and fished shallow to the sides of them 20-30' first getting a slow pick with a few keepers. The wind was blowing a little fast but was in the right direction to ride the ledge so we did that for a while picking a few keepers with a slow bite again.

The blues showed up for a short period of time so we jumped on them and used some for bait strips and fish cake fillets. Lastly, we tried a drift in the channel 50-60' and whacked two keepers fairly quick. Had to move for a barge and couldn't get a bite going again after it passed unfortunately.

Bait was squid, sea robin strips, and bluefish strips with yellow, pink, and nuclear chicken gulp. Green bucktail got some keepers but johns pink and yellow teaser got more keepers.

Totals were 3 bluefish nice size. And only 20 fluke for two guys, but 6 keepers! Slow fishing but a hell of a keeper ratio haha. Biggest was 21" and a 20" with the rest 18-19". Here's the 4 biggest fluke.

Good catch for the day...

Any luck left of Keyport (Triangle etc.)?

We tried that area the last two weekends prior to this one with nothing so we didn't even check this time.
