Had the pleasure of chartering the MIMI VI out of Point recently for an offshore Ling and Winter Flounder excursion. Going to keep this brief. Capt. Ken did not disappoint. He knew what our plan was and wasted no time in putting the boat right over the honey hole. Ling was a little slow, however the flounders along with an occasional cod and pollack sure make for a lot of happy faces, along with nice bags of meat for home. Had several on board catching their personal best winter flounder. Last trip out, pool fish was caught by Jim Csakany, with a beauty weighing 3lb. 12 oz. on the digital scale, measuring at just under 21". I was lucky to grab a whistle fish weighing at 3lb. 9oz. Large percentage of these winter flounder are at or exceeding the minimum fluke length. Take that any day of the week. Full boat limit all around. Couple pics here of happy faces.
