Hawks Cay gives the feel of a Caribbean Resort better than any other U.S. Resort I've been to. Plenty for you to do fishing-wise, and equally important, plenty for the wife to keep her busy as well. Best part is, like Shrimp said, it's right here in the U.S. I highly recommend Hawks Cay.

Never been to Cheeca but I hear wonderful things.

Can't go wrong with Cheeca Lodge...knew it when it started...Flats on both sides & of course, the deep not far offshore to the East...& your wife should be happy....

This country gives enough of it's money to Mexicos drug cartel, please don't give them our fishing money as well. Fish the USA

If she likes ecotourism then Crocodile Bay in Costa Rica. If not then Islamorada or Marathon and leave her a rental car and a cc during the day.

Been going to Islamorada since the late sixties. Can be fabulous but if you only have one week it could be windy for days. The year before last I spent two months there.Feb. and March and got out 2to 3 times a week. Sailfish are in good in Feb. and like it rough but it ain't cheap. If you want yellow tail snappers I can hook you up with a good capt from Jerey who retired there and he has very reasonable rates. PM me and I will give you his #

Definitely Marathon in the Keys. If you need the name of a captain PM me. Highly recommend him.

Marathon is good because you can almost always fish the Gulf for spanish mackerel, mangroves, sharks and goliaths if it is blowing.

I have been in Cabo in Febuary about 5 times always had a Striped Marlin or Mahi available, Over Under is in Bahamas and wahoo is good, heard Panama fishing on a Maverick Boat is awesome. If you had two weeks Hawaii or Australia. Venice in Louisana might give you some new experiences New Orleans offers distractions. Or you could charter the Big Jamaica and take us all giant sea basing
