Hey Guy’s,

Just wanted to post a quick rundown on my first couple months fishing out here in NJ. Wife and I are both in the Air Force. She flys ‘em and my guys fix ‘em. We spent the last 4.5 years in Northern Cali where I primarily chassed Big Bass on the Cal delta. My heart has always been with Musky though!!!

First and foremost, I would like to thank all current and former members of Musky Inc who have built some AMAZING musky fisheries. Your hard work and dedication is much appreciated.

We arrived at the beginning of June and on the weekends I’ve hit 6 fisheries thus far; Oxford/Furnace, Mountain, Greenwood, Monksville, Echo, & Mercer. We’ve boated 10 muskies in 7 outings, 4 over 40. Cari I bagged x2 46”s in one day! Stopped fishing about 3 weeks ago due to the water temps getting into the 80’s.

It’s been exciting learning new bodies of water and trying to crack the code on each lake. To be honest I’ve just stuck to the basics. A couple of the fish I stuck when I first got out here were on a Nutbuster Jr spinnerbait and Llungen DC-8’s. Very simple color schemes. As the temps got into the upper 70’s DC-9’s, LT-9’s, and topwater seemed to shine. I've kept the trolling motor on high and covered lots of water!!!

Looking forward to some cooler weather in the near future to knock the water temps back under 80 so I can chase some more Ski’s. Anyways if you see me on the water stop and say hi!

Here’s a few pics.

Welcome aboard da'board. Jersey has a lot to offer to fisherman & gets a bad rap-not an industrial wasteland populated by fist pumping meatheads with tattoos as represented on tv!

THAT IS ONE HECK OF AN INTRO-Keep it up the good work on the water & protecting the homeland.

If you happen to see a bald dude & a big orange dog on MONKSVILLE, GWL or the watersheds stop by & say hi! We too are usually trolling for the MUSKIES...once you fish for them the rest of the fish are just bait!

Welcome and great post - glad to see you are enjoying the great muskie fishery we have here.

If you would like to attend an MI22 NJ Muskies Inc. meeting please shoot me a pm and I'll send you the details. You don't need to be a MI member to attend.

Welcome aboard and very nicely done, I see u have sum experience under your belts to hit the garden state so well right off the bat! thanks for respecting these fish and not targeting them in the warm water months, many of us really appreciate that. If your wife has a sister theres a bunch of good guys on here that would love to catch a fisherwoman for a wife LOL.......great job and keep the reports coming, feel free to PM others for info or anything you need, or post it up if general stuff, many dont like to spotburn or give too much info out to the public.........keep it up guys
