Just returned from a fantastic fishing adventure with Dave Curtis of Fishing Fanatic Guide Service in Kingston Ontario. GIANT smallmouths in St. Lawrence River/Lake Ontario....largemouths don't win tournaments up there....you need to come in with at least 25 lbs. of smallies. I will be haunted the rest of my days with two monster bass I lost....first one jumped 6 feet (no lie!) and was over 5 and said see ya.....immediately following that had one on over 6, exploded out of water and came unbuttoned. Also trolled for muskies, caught a few pike, and caught some nice pike, bass (large/small) in back lakes on other days. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested......world class smallmouth fishing to say the least.:D

That's awesome bud. Sounds like a great trip. I want to get up there because of this one sentence that I heard a while back:

"Thousand islands/St. Lawrence River is just polluted with smallmouth."
