We finally found some keeper fluke. Fished the end of outgoing today - green side of Ambrose and kept 5 - only had to go through 10 shorts.

Deadstick spearing and gulp on a hi-lo rig with beads, blades and strands did the trick tipped with spearing - pinks and greens. Bucktail/gulp only got the sea robins

It was a great fishing weekend for sure. The fish were comfortable and feeding!

It shut off with the end of the outgoing so timing critical too. The fish were fat and between 19 and 21 but nothing pic worthy. All the keepers were on the the teaser and doubles with a small fluke on the bottom hook.

Nice job no Limit sharing info like this to help other anglers possibly help increase their catch.

Good to see you got some keepers.

We had similar results not far from you, 6 keepers. Joe had the largest which was 23 inches and Arty had high hook with 3. All bucktailing gulp with either pink shine or new penny teaser. The big fish was caught in 50 feet of water and the flies were on us like hobos on a muffin.

Seems like they wanted the meat because if you didn't tip your gulp teaser with a spearing, you didn't get as many bites.

We did get a few fish on the outgoing but that shut down at slack. Moved over to the Chappel Hill Channel and nothing there but Sturgeons jumping. Once incoming started we moved back and finished up with a flurry.
