After the night time fishing on Friday got canceled manage to get couple of friends to go out on Saturday.

Well .... skunk was us, but mostly due to us getting out mid afternoon in the heat of the day.

Nothing could be found from the shore except of sunnies, we just needed to keep ourselves occupied. At around 3pm, just needed to escape the heat and of in a water we went.

My friend decided to show us how to troll for pike portugese style ... small video below:

Overall great day to be out. Managed to get some fish therapy as well. While in a water sunnies keep on eating the dead skin of the feet which was pretty weird to say the least.

Water level is still coming up, most of my places to fish now cannot be reached without help from the waders.

Please be careful out in the sun and in the water. We did see couple of ambulance going to the park when we were leaving. Cover your head, drink plenty of water and if you do enjoy your drink now and then like me keep that to a minimum.

Tight Lines.

I went out Friday night from shore near the ramp. Didn't do much better, just a couple of dink cats. At least I wasn't the only one having a slow weekend.

What can I say. It was too hot to stay out.

We had to do what we had to do.

We usually do pretty good at night by the boat ramp. If you head to the left there is a nice drop off where brids usually like to hang out. If you head to the right bass usually patrols that area. And pike was caught in between pretty close to shore.

But it was way way way too hot this weekend. I don't think anything would bite before 2am

I was there on Saturday, too.
I was fishing for carp and managed to land three with the largest going 27".

It seems like a lot of people fish there at night now. When I was packing up to leave after 8:00 pm, I saw quite a few trucks pulling boats driving towards the lake and cars pulling into the lot.
