Nice job there and agree with jigman13. I fished the Passaic from elmwood park and Fair Lawn yesterday and with the levels low (not anymore) it would have been a great time to clean up the dirtiest river around. With that being said the amount of trash, tires, bottles, cans etc is alarming and disappointing. My thought is that even if you removed every single piece of garbage today it will be replenished by Friday with new garbage. People aren't held responsible for littering and it's a major cultural issue.

I tried to remove the submerged fiberglass panel that I hit with my inflatable. Took a fingernail sized chunk out of the bottom of my boat, luckily didn't tear the floor open but just looking around at how much stuff is in the river I don't even know if success is obtainable.

Many people talk about it, few people actually do it. Andy and your team you are truly a class act.! Thanks for all your hard work. It's unimaginable so many people have no regard for nature and the public resources. Since most of this dumping occurs probably off the beaten path and at night it's probably difficult to prevent this from happening but if anyone were to ever get caught I hope the punishment fits the crime. Again great job and thank you for your efforts!
