Inspired by the great trout fishing reports coming in the past few days, I headed up to the North Branch to see if I could join the party. I fished around Far Hills for about 3 hours. The holes near the bridge were choked with trout, but they were a bit finicky today. I still managed seven on a mix of spinners, rapalas, and grubs. Also got three bonus smallies. It was such a warm day that I didn't even bother with waders, either. Most of the trout were in faster water, not a scratch in the slow deep pools.

Great video as always Lard! The rivers are definitely stacked up right now! Just curious, how do you rig and fish those little twisty tail jigs for trout? I've never tried that tactic and I'm interested in giving it a shot.

Just floated and cleaned the North Branch, Far Hills to the confluence ! The amount of holes you can fish if you float is insane. Very, very top of the AT&T stretch was loaded with trout ! Below the Lamington is is nuts too. Thanx for another great video. Down to just a few more items, place looks pretty good now.
