...couldn't have thought it was going to be easy! Went on my first hunt for bowfin to be greeted by ridiculous winds! Only able to effectively and efficiently fish in certain somewhat protected areas I did what I could. I lost count of how many strikes I missed usually due to the wind bowing my line or gusting my boat out of position...20...30...bass, pickerel? Maybe a bowfin in there somewhere? Who knows.

I finally made a run into the wind finishing off my battery pretty much and tucked myself into a secluded cove. Fishing in about a foot of water I finally started connecting with some fish! No target bowfin success but I did get some sweet consolation prizes on my homemade swimbaits...a nice big head 20" hit just subsurface effectively a top water blast, torpedo wake and all! Really awesome! Then a few more smaller bass and another nice one with some pickerel in the mix. Nothing big till the end when a nice one obliterated my line on impact. Went home then to watch the Rangers crush the Lightning haha.

It's basically a copy of the kietech ones I make whatever color I want for much less than they cost haha. Seem to work just as well to me. Super flexible, tail kicks with the slowest crank and sways the body as it goes.
