Well I went Pike fishing on Monday and I finally got a couple good sized ones. Lately all of the ones I have been catching have been small if they were pike and big pickerel. I worked an area of the river for a while and picked up one solid pickerel on my way back i tried an area I already fished and tried doing a modified figure 8 from the bank and I got slammed. It ended up being a 30 inch pike...So I tried the same thing in the same spot and had a bigger one miss it but never committed...I was shocked that there was two that big in the same hole...So I changed lures and tried the same thing and then I was hooked up again on one that was over 30 inches. I got both fights on my go-pro but i don't know how to put them up on here. I will try and put them on youtube and attach the links later. Keep um tight!

How are the mosquitos in your area?
The mosquitos are already bad in the Great Swamp area, especially in the evening.

The mosquitos are already bad in the Great Swamp area, especially in the evening.

What mosquitos? I think those fu*ker's are scared of me! I did have a kayak full of little spiders last week that got me good....that was not fun at all....hahaha

Thanks guys! I always explore different areas of the river, and if it looks fishy I give it a try...lol I accidently used BING maps instead of Google maps today and I realized I have been missing out for quite some time. The BING maps are the shit. Now I will have plenty of more exploring to do this season.
