Hit up the lake with Wilson. Got "some" bait from the guy, wiped 'em out.
Waited in line at the ramp for the "Rip 'em Off the Beds" bass tournament guys to get their act together, ya know, 3000hp metal flake bla bla bla boats with one angler putting no less than 15 rods into his boat

Finally got on the hook in about 50 FOW. Bite lasted from 8:00 to 8:15, in that time 1 Brown and 2 Lakers, Wilson getting the larger of the 2 Lake trout.
Dropped a few run offs. Wind went from SW to NW while we were there.

Those club tourneys are god awful. Saw them there last year "releasing" floaters. And none of them seemed to have any fish over 3 lbs. It's terrible to see dozens of bass belly up for a $200 pot. It's even more painful when you see the $28+k boats they're pushing. :(

Nice brown Andy! Things got shoulders!

I got there around 1 today and was fishing from shore on the other side. Was wondering why it looked like the Spanish Armada had invaded MCR.

Nice fish. I pulled in a few decent bass. One nice smallie. Always jealous of you boat guys because the fish always seem to be jumping just out of casting distance...

How does a bass tournament during the spawn work? Is there a neutral party on all of the boats to measure and/or weigh the fish? Honor system? I presume you can't throw them in the livewell since all fish must be immediately returned to the water.

Nice Brownie there capt. Sorry to hear the bite didn't last...with all that traffic it makes sense I guess.

At least got out on the water and not just to pull trash out of it! :D

Wlison - No laker pics? Lakers are fish too dude....post'em if ya got'em.

I like those fish. Never ate one from Jersey but did out in Yellowstone and they were tasty. Kind of in between Salmon and Trout in flavor. Ever try one out of there...smoked or cooked?

nice trout! I can see why you don't like tournaments haha, but that's why i do like the online ones, cpr, easy peasy don't have to fish on top of other guys and damage all the fish.
