Swartswood / bait store question

Was thinking of hitting MCR yesterday but opted for good ole Swartswood instead. Had high hopes with the light drizzle and overcast but only managed to land about 10 feisty Rock Bass. All caught on Tubes and Swim Jigs. Got to get the herring next time. Im not too familiar with the bait and tackle stores close to Swartswood. My gps must've taken me a different route this time out. Took me right past Andover Hunt and Fish. I had to stop in to take a look see. They do have the herring. Next time I will be buying from them for sure. In the past Ive always picked up bait at Dows then continued onto Swartwood while praying the Herring made it up to Swartswood alive. With Andover being much closer Im thinking they will be my go to spot anytime I fish Swartswood. Is this the way to go or are there even closer bait stores?

Andover is the closest and best spot when fishing swartswood. Good selection, good bait, good people.

I live up that ways and Andover Hunt & Fish is your best bet. Great folks with awesome service. Unless getting bait from Dows specifically for Hopatcong, I always use them. I also use them for all my firearm purchases and transfers - can't says enough great things about that shop.
