View Full Version : Switched to the North Branch
Fished around the Rte 202 bridge for an hour. Only one lady fishing there. It's the day after stocking and no one shows up. Go figure.
I caught five small trout and a 18' eel which released itself. Thank God. I hate handling the slimy swirmy things.
The fishing was slow. It didn't seem there was a lot of fish there as I only got a few bites on butterworms. Maybe the new rain that's coming will change the bite.

Which Rt. 202 Bridge did you fish? (rhetorical question) There are three of them. The fishing should still be good at the one on the Far Hills/Bedminster border. Thanks for the report.

The one in Branchburg. Does anyone know who put the quarry rocks on the northwest side of the bridge to create a great parking area a couple of years ago?
It must of cost a fortune. I'd like to give kudos to whoever did that.

I hate catching eels as well. Question how to you release them successfully. I tend to always have to cut the line rather then try to get the hook out. I know this isnt good but i have killed more trying to unhook them. Any tips
