well i wanted to catch 3 fish i've never caught before this year, shad (got it done thanks to help from njfers), tiger muskie, and bowfin.

yesterday after work i took what i've learned about pure strain muskie over the past few years and put it to work on the tigers...first attempt, success! Not the biggest of specimens but a mission accomplished none the less. I was using one of the swimbaits i made specifically for such an occasion and also had a follow from a bigger one but did the worst figure 8 in the history of mankind followed by some rage monster, but oh well. also caught a bass with a gill hanging out but was doing just fine, sometimes they are troopers!

Great job! Absolutely beautiful healthy looking fish! At the rate you're going you're going to have to start adding targeted fish to the list. Good way to start the new season!

Nice markings on that fish. Those hammer handler size Tigers can be pricks & fight like crazy. Had one turn my thumb into chop meat 2 years ago on ECHO trying to get a spinner bait out of his mouth..

Never under estimate a hybrid-the are all attitude.
