Picked this guy up twice in the same spot with only two casts in between hook-ups. Red/orange eyes, jaws (felt like bass teeth in there) expand wide enough to thumb hold while removing the hook. I'm thinking rock bass?

Yup, Rock Bass.
There are massive numbers of those on some parts of the Delaware River.
