Got out for a bit on the P saturday morning. Had an hour or 2 to burn so I hit a couple local spots. First spot was slow until I looked down and watched a bass chase a few baitfish right up against the rock I was standing on. Tossed a spinner in his direction and hooked up with my first smallie of the year. It was kinda chubby and just happened to start droppin a deuce while I took his pic, lol...... :D

At the second spot I hooked up with my first pike of the year. Decent fish, high 20s and fought really well. Almost got airborne twice. Only took till May. :eek: Anyway, hadn't been to the river much this year so it felt good to get back and get a few. Here's some pics, including a snake that decided to hang out for a bit while I was fishing. Didn't even move when I stuck my camera right up to him, lol......

Thanks all! Ant, pike hit a spinnerbait at the tail end of a pool, right before some riffles. Kinda surprised I didn't get one at the first "spot", but, I could tell by the garbage and left behind fishing gear, others had been there recently.

Oh, and by the way, its been nice knowin everyone! Cause I have feeling tomorrow's game 7 just might kill me, lol. #heartattackkids

nice fishing, and that's one hell of a turd...maybe submit that to the state? is there a skillful angler fish turd size??

HAHAHA!! I've tried that, still waiting for a new remote from optimum, lol..... And I just can't afford a new TV right now..... :D

And, as for Ovi, I'm taking bets on whether or not he does a post game interview after they lose tomorrow......

I've been self medicating during these games with bulleit bourbon. Its my 90 proof answer! It's also very hard to not wake my three kids when the blue shirts score. Being on the thinning side in the hair dept was a tough pill to swallow at first. These games are adding insult to injury and will likely have me gray where I still have hair come Wednesday night...
