No fish porn just a reminder to all. Check yourself for ticks every day! I've been having my girl do a spot check when I get home after every fishing trip. She has been away for 3 days and boom, found one in my back this morning, not sure how long it was there but now I gotta get a lymes test, ugh. But I'm pretty anal about bug spray, keeping my dirty clothes outside and showering so I guess there's a first time for everything. So keep safe and tight lines!

Hope you found it early enough dude. Keep an eye on the location where you found it in your back... Pray a bullseye doesn't appear.

Good points. I can't believe I don't have Lyme Disease. I've been hiking, bushwhacking, frogging, fishing, camping my whole life

I hope I did, I drove over to my moms house and she removed it, freaked out and dragged me to the doctor so I'm on antibiotics already lol

It's a pretty reasonable thing to freak out about!

Lymes carrying ticks are rarer than most people think. Only a small percentage carry the disease so try not to get caught up in publicized paranoia. It definitely seems to becoming more prevalent though. I pull a few dozen ticks off me every year, from nymphs to bigger hard ticks.I haven't had Lymes in 3 years. Don't get too paranoid. I'm a 3X Lymes disease champion!!!

If you can see the tick, its most likely a wood tick and there is really nothing to worry about....Yeah you wanna remove it of course but no worries wit da lymes.... Deer ticks , which are more commonly the lymes carriers are dam near no see ums until they are full of blood....

I pull off a few wood ticks on a weekly basis..... seriously, nothin to worry bout

I went down the Lyme disease road a few years back. The drugs sucked made me feel terrible. One thing you should do after you remove the tick is put it in a Ziploc or other sealable container and bring it to the doctor with you because they can send the tick out for testing. I didn't know that when it happened to me and I flushed it. Good luck sounds like you are ahead of it if you did get one that has lyme. The real issues start when you get lyme and have the crappy symptoms that go with the disease.
