Gorgeous weather yesterday jen wanted to go catch something so we thought about the river but instead went to the great cockolla quarry lake with the light tackle & some worms. Saw a lot of nice sized largemouth cruising but they were swimming away from anything presented to them. There was an awful lot of pressure put on these fish as there were kayakers & shore bound anglers everywhere throwing sexy shads, banjo minnows, walking worms & helicopter lures. Nightcrawlers accounted for plenty of snack sized largemouths & solid sized bluegills. As the sun went down we stopped over at cockolla lake & immediately caught a solid largemouth then went 3-5 on carps. nothing big & lost 1 in the dark that i could not grab to big even for my bear paws & as i went to slide him on the bank hook pulled #fishstory jen also fought 1 for about 7 minutes & the hook pulled #heartbreak . all fish were caught with my earth sponsored nightcrawlers & the 48 cent brand of corn at walmart #cannedveggyprostaff. follow the link if ya wanna see pics of the dinks
