4/29/15 Spruce/RV/Local

So I was out early to spruce run. Weather was beautiful. Headed out and quickly realized that spruce was probably a little too much for my 10 foot jon boat and 30 lb thrust trolling motor. I hugged the shore along the car top launch for a bit but quickly got tired of the quick drift. Decided to load back out and stop by round valley on my way home. Fished a bit from shore there with some other guys along the beach, but didn't see anyone landing anything and my luck was no better. Headed back to my neck of the woods to use up the 2 dozen shiners I had bought. Action was steady for about an hour landing 7 and losing 3 as I got them to shore. All smaller but fun none the less. Big thanks for Andre for putting me on the fish and putting up with my questions. Thanks to everyone else on here for putting up with me as well and helping me avoid the dry spells I suffered last year.

Yeah they do! Especially on the ultra light gear. Just wish theyd leave some shiners for an occasional bass or crappie.

There ya go dude! Catch, catch, catch em up. It doesn't matter what's on the end of your line as long as your rod is bent.
