Went out for a few hours to hit a few honey holes and it payed off well. The river is loaded with "bows" and they where biting. Caught and released 8 with many others missed. All on 1/8 oz Rooster Tail spinners fished slow and deep! There where very few other fisherman on the river so very little pressure. It was a excellent day!

Sounds like a great day. Where are all the Trout anglers. Rivers and streams are loaded!

That's great when the season starts off cold, fish go deep the bite is slow. The fishing should be picking up on the SBR. I have to admit, I haven't fished it much this year, I have been waiting for the mayfly hatches to start.

seems like more and more guys fish opening day and then done! i've only gone a few times in the streams but that's pretty typical for me.

The trend has always been the first 4 weeks in previous years. With the bite starting late, the trouble at the Hatchery last year, all rainbows this year, the crowd has thinned rather quickly. I don't mind one bit, more river and fish for the real fisherman!
