personal SA challenge update

I know most of you think it's near impossible but i'm still going for it anyway just like i posted at the end of 2014...going for a skillful angler sized fish in every freshwater species!

I think i'm off to a decent start, 8 SA sized fish but only 4 different species (4 perch, 1 sunfish, 2 crappie and 1 bullhead cat). I'm a much better warm water angler so i think knocking off 4 of the easier species before the water warms up is an ok start!

Like i said trout will be the toughest, especially because i haven't taken advantage of the trophy stocking in rvr yet haha. I'll also have to get on that shad run soon!

Good luck man, that sounds like a lot of fun. I've wanted to do the same but ended up forgetting to submit the paperwork within the requested 30 days lol.

On a side note, I'm curious to see if my 30" Channel Catfish and my girl's 38" Pike will stay on the leaderboard :p.

I am sure you will get them all Chris.

And Skunk I will be gunning to that pike record this year. So far I am coming sadly behind but my Farrington monsta awaits me.

Ive caught so many eligible fish and never bothered to document them for entries. This year Im gonna print it out and keep it in the glove box of boat and see how many I can get, but I only fish for 3-4 diff species so I may have to venture out a little bit more, Im C+R only category

What a great personal goal you set for yourself. You've got your work cut out for you, but you fish hard, so I like your chances. Good luck!

I've only submitted to the c&r as well. I'll feel more confident if I can clear a sa shad since it's the only fish I really don't have all year to target...plus I've never fished for them before haha, no idea how rare a sa shad is but I know I better get on it soon.
