Hit the pond at 7 am. Threw the tackle box for an hour with no love. Switched to a jig and quickly managed 5 crappie. Worked around with nothing to show and moved to a cove and had fish hitting on nearly every other cast. Dink LMB, crappie, bluegills, yellow and white perch and a some respectable pickerel, with one hitting at the boat scaring me and leading to one of the largest pickerel I have landed in recent times. Not a bad day with a nice bend in the rod on an ultralight set up. It only get better from here!
