Finally got to splash GetANet for the first time this season. Started out just like last year left off!!! Motor not cooperating!!!! After about 45 minutes of F'ing with it I was finally off and running. Weather was beautiful today as i was down to a tee shirt for most of the day. Water temp was 45 degrees and I spent about an hour looking and finally found water just over 50 degrees so that's were I set up shop and ran two planer boards with shiners and one flatline off the back for the day. Made quite a few passes before finally hooking something other than the bottom. Yea!, No Skunk on my first trip!!!! My one and only fish of the day was a nice size thick Crappie!! Prob about 13-14 in but very thick! Couple other highlights today as well, I watched a Bald Eagle feeding at the water's edge for about a half hour before some douche bag tried to ride up on it for a pic! Also finally got to meet XXL YACKER out there today. Great guy! We chatted it up for a while and then had a special guest appearance from the Flatcreek Ferry!!!!
Didn't matter if I caught today or not it was just fantastic to be out in the sun and on the water again!!!! Here's a pic of my beast of the day!!!!LOL ENJOY.

Thought that ice fishing season was never going to end, with like 4 feet of ice on all the lakes !! Great to see you out on the open water :)

Crappie = good. It was great to finally meet you. Definitely have to get out with you and beat the hybrids up . Ended up with 2 small smallies. Small enough that your crappie may have been picking on them.

I didn't realize how much I liked having beer while fish! It really fills in the time on slow days! Could have used many today.

Just keep it low key...We do the same thing there but one eye on the beer and the other on the local C.O....they will glass you with the binocs and its like $60 per beer on board....

Of course i'm speaking from experience....It can make an inexpensive day, quite pricey....

Nice work Dale!!!:D

Was wondering if that was you in BB cove when I made a pass thru there! LOL Saw a few people around that area but not many fish! SooooooN! Water temps need to come up a few degrees and the night bite should be starting pretty soon too!!!
