Managed to bring 32 rainbows to the banks of the NB today fishing from 615 am til 3 pm this afternoon. No real big fish for me but one of those Bows was enough to get me 3rd place. What I got for 3rd was INSANE! A trophy, a 9 quart cooler full of assorted plastic baits, rod and reel combo and a 3/4 day trip on the Queen Mary. WOW, the Raritan PD went above and beyond putting this event together. Thanx for all your hard work and effort guys. I had a blast and I know everyone else did as well. Round of applause for the Raritan PD!!!! I hope this turns into something huge for Somerset County. GREAT JOB!!!

Taking the kids division was an NJF members daughter named Jessica. She was the only kid to enter a fish so she took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, LOL! The look on her face was just AWESOME! Congrats Jessica and family! Looks like you have alot of fishing to do in the near future. Lots of new gear to break in!!!! What a day to be outside.

TIGHT LINEZ TO ALL!!!!!

Thanks to the Raritan PD for putting this thing together. Based on how this tournament was run, there is no doubt in my mind that it will continue to grow from year to year. And judging from the ear-to-ear grin on Jessica's face, it definitely needs to happen again!

I've got the video of my day posted, feel free to take a look. I got really emotional once I landed that fish, to the point where you guys may be able to use this video to blackmail me. :D

Attached is a pic of the fish as soon as it came out of the water. I'd love to get everyone's opinion as to whether they feel it was simply a holdover, or if it actually was a sea-run brown trout.

Great looking fish Lard. I'm just glad to see fish like that coming out of the main stem of the Raritan river. I think the Brown Trout are most tolerant of higher water temps. Crazy river, you never know what you will catch out of there.
