I personally have not had much success with it. What's everyone's favorite color and type? How do you rig it? Also, what's the shelf life? I have a jar from about 2 years ago, should I chuck t?

its probably still good, it's awesome for rainbows though i find it less effective for brooks and browns. i do best on pink and chartreuse.

i am a fan of pink and chartreuse paste. the jar of paste allows you to make your own size ball to match your hook size. I feel you get short changed with the nuggets.

i use a #10 bait holder and just enough (2/3) small split shots to keep it on the bottom.

ill bounce it along the bottom and methodically fish a spot until i figure out how they want it.

Not a big fan. Only ever did good with it at burnham park ponds. Now adays the only think catching there are those damn black loons

I do catch them using rainbow, chartreuse, orange and garlic scented. But the bigger rainbows, 5-6lbs, have all been caught on phoebes and spinners.

Rainbow glitter and hatchery pellet have worked well for my son and I for the last few years.

Don't toss it, if the paste is hard pour in a little water and it will return to it's original consistency.

Funny story...I never used to use it. One opening day I'm fishing with my lures not catching anything no one really catching much. I see a norm stockie come up every now and then...a jar of power bait nuggets comes floating by me so I pick it up and pocket it. No one ever came looking for it and later in the afternoon I still had no fish. Thought screw it lets try this stuff...ended up with a few norm Brookies and one nice 17" brook! I never trout fish without it, although it's never my first choice I keep it as a back up and haven't had to use it for the past few years.

I lost a jar of powerbait nuggets a couple years ago it went downstream before i could grab it but glad you put it to good use! Lol Na just jokin!!! It's not my go-to bait but it has proved it's worth to me over the years. Pink seemed to be good for the bows. I always have a jar or two on me when I do hit the streams and rivers.
