so i'm tired of waiting and i'm going to try out rvr jigging for lake trout after work tomorrow (tues), i'll try to get there by 2. I'd rather not go alone, but i'm tired of waiting so if anyone wants to go or will be there already let me know. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that have worked consistantly in the previous winters when rvr didn't freeze so i'm pretty confident we can get on a bite in a similar fashion. Let me know.

I'm pretty amped, I've been wanting to try this for a few years but never made it there last year and I don't think it froze safe the few years prior to that. Either way I'll be looking to keep the no skunk in 2015 streak going! 17 trips! Gotta grow the streak! Yeah!!

Good luck out there wish I could join you. I got out on Sunday morning early. Didn't have any luck on tip ups and hooked into one jigging but it came off was a tough loss. I was in 60-100fow with 8-10in black ice. Saw one other fish caught about 20"laker in about 65fow. Hope you guys kill 'em.

We are meeting at 2PM in the main parking lot/boat launch, I have my auger fully gassed. Just a little concerned about safe ice because we are taking a walk out by the tower maybe, has anyone been there and how thick is the ice? PM me if you need to.

Bring GPS could be whiteout conditions this afternoon and you could easily get los finding way back with no visual bearings..

Well after a 7-130 sit I ended up with the big, sloppy SKUNK.. Although I left Eddie is still giving it hell.. Sorry I missed you guys (Adreneline and Chris) we ripped plenty of holes for Ya!! Only saw 1 decent laker on a tip up, in about 80 FOW.. Good luck gents see Ya soon!!

Only thing I got was my first skunk of 2015! Thanks rvr! I'm going to rape that place in the spring as vengeance! Hahaha. Good to cross paths and fish with some great njf members though. 3 hours swinging big by the tower but nothing to show for it. It's all good, but the drive home sucked like no other! Haha

It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday, and fast eddie as well. We gave it hell but no luck. Chris and my buddy Mike jigged their arse off for 3+ hours, I jigged some and fished with tip ups and moved them from 30-95 feet of water without a touch. Ride home took 2+ hours which was fitting end to a tough day. But, you gotta be in it to win it!
