Got some sad news this morning, Capt. Bob Kamienski passed away. Bob and his wife Pat owned the Kingfisher II in Atl. Highlands, up until Hurricane Sandy took it away from him.

While many members were involved Bob was the driving force behind the Hi-Mar Fall Striper Tournament, from its inception. The guy, up until this year that ran the Captains meeting and so much more behind the scenes. And, a past President of the Hi-Mar.

I was a guest on the Kingfisher many times and we fish a few Striper & Fluke tournaments together. Can't say I ever had a bad day fishing with Bob & Pat. As he used to say, "Pat catches the big fish, I just drive the boat!

Fish on my friend!

Fisherman's Prayer
Unknown
I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep.

Wow :(

I only met Bob a few times. A very nice guy and quite a character. He definately leavea a big void in our fishing community.

God speed, fair winds and following seas Bob.

I attended Bob's wake today.

The line was out the door - huge turnout!

Tells you the kinda guy Bob was...

Fair winds and following seas Bob - you are in a better place - thanks again for all you have done and taught me...

Rest in peace...

I knew Bob, Pat, and Brandon from the years when they were at the Cove. Can't ask for nicer people.
Tight Lines Bob.
