NJF ICE M-N-G @ LH, JANUARY 31st

Well I guess its that time of year again. Back by popular demand is the NJF ICE MEET-N-GREET. Heading for the same grounds as last year, the one and only LAKE HOPATCONG. We'll be there bright and early on SATURDAY, JANUARY 31ST. Bring a friend, bring your mom and bring some venison and pork products for the grill. Last year was a blast on one of the coldest days of the year. I'm hoping for a good turn out again this year. Jumping on the ice at Barnes Bros marina. Pretty good area for jigging and you never know what you can pull up off the humps. Maybe some lucky angler will jig up a 63 inch Musky on a Swedish pimple tipped with a fathead, ye never know!

I'm really hoping to see you guys that entered the contest on the Ice this day. Meeting new anglers and bringing people together to have a great time is my goal. So mark your calendar, this ICE PARTY is a short 12 days away! We will have the grills going and my good buddy Bob will have the fire pit going strong for anyone that needs to stay warm. Trust me there's no cold hands when Bobs in charge of the fire, LOL! As far as food goes, bring whatever you want and we'll eat it up in no time. I'm probably going to bring Venison chili or meatballs, not sure yet. I do know that both items are damn good and will fly fast. Make sure you have toilet paper in the truck, I tend to have a heavy hand when it comes to adding the cayenne pepper, OOOOPS!

Looking forward to seeing you MANIACS out there. Hopefully there will be some new faces at this MEET-N-GREET! Don't be bashful if your a new member, show up and meet some of the NJF crew. We're one great big happy family. See you there!!!

Anyone coming to this thing? It's this Saturday at Lake Hopatcong. My good friend Bob needs some help. He's looking for some firewood to burn in his custom pit. If you guys have a few pieces to spare please feel free to bring some. It's going to be a cold blustery day, similar to last year. Dress warm, hang out, possibly catch a fish, who knows!?!? I don't expect anyone to stand out there all day. It's not going to be that comfortable. Myself and Bob should be there at sunrise to get the fire going. That way once your done setting up your tip ups, you'll have a place to come warm up. Make sure you have your propane stoves/ grills ready as well. I'm sure we'll be cooking something up on the ice. Consuming calories is another great way to keep warm in frigid temps. Hope to meet some new faces, if it's only a few. See you MANIACS out there.

They're forcasting mid 20's for Saturday...It's going to be down right balmy compared to lst year! :D That was a chilly day and I don't think it got above 15. Plus that wind was a howlin. If the wind keeps under control we'll be breakin out the sun tan lotion and skeeter repellent.

I'm pretty sure we can leave the sun tan lotion at home!!!! hahahaha....Looks like a balmy 3 degrees with 18mph sustained and gusts to 40 lol..... I might put my tail between my legs on this one.

Never caught the ice bug, and I've gone more than a handful of times...
The only way I enjoyed the fishing part was when jigging the depths fer lakers....

Maybe when the kids are grown and move out , ill git back into ice jigging??only time will tell....Anyway good luck and stay warm-ish guys...

MEET-N-GREET CANCELLED!!! I'm sorry fellaz but I'm going to cancel this trip due to the relentless wind and low temps. It just doesn't look like its going to be a productive day. It's just not comfortable when you constantly have to dig your tip ups out of the blowing snow and break ice in the holes. It's the first time I'm canceling something. I hope I didn't ruin anyones day. Bare with me fellaz. Last year was a day at the beach compared to what tomorrow will be!!!

The new date for the MEET-N-GREET will be next SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH!!! I hope a handful of guys are able to make the new date. TIGHT LINEZ!!!:cool:

This is true, but when your skiing or boarding from the top of a black or double black your moving and the adrenaline is pumping. You can't feel a thing when your doing 50 mph down the slopes. Standing still with 40 mph gusts sucks, lol! Good luck Andre!!! CATCH A MONSTER!!!:D

Got in about 4 hours on waywayanda this am to fish with a buddy who's new at ice. Absolutely horribly cold and windy. At least he landed 1 small pickerel to show for our efforts.
