New Years trout

Broke the seal for 2015 , caught two fish. Incredibly tough day out there. Had pieces of ice hitting my legs as I was wading out there. Anyways, caught one native on my knees under an overhang tree root pool thingy, and another cookie cutter. Released the native, kept the stocker for dinner to reward myself for freezing all day. Way to start off the new year !!! Long range forecast shows highs in the 20's, great for ice fishing, not so great for guys hitting the streams. Thanx for the report.

Love it!!!!! Great to see fisherman out on the first day of the new year or out all winter as well! There are always fish to catch 12 months a year it's just how bad do you wanna catch em"?????? Way to start off the new season!!!!

Olive sparkling emerger pupa (is that what it is...?) I bought them from cabelas. Just forget the names a lot haha
