Managed to escape for a bit this morning to take a shot at these bonus winter browns I heard about ( thanks Wilson). Hit up a recently stocked mud hole for a little less than an hour. It was cold and windy and I was just about to pack it in for the day when I hooked into and landed a decent brown. I gotta say, if they averaged 17", there must be some BIGGUNS out there. At 10 maybe 11", this one definitely brought the average down!!! :D

Wasn't the 17" plus brown I was after, but still beats leaving with cold hands AND stinking like SKUNK, lol..........

I second that! I can see the "yearling" bars on the body. Nice catch man :o

Were you at VP? Was there this morning for a bit, one little Trout and surprising Crappie. Talked to two guys with a big bow on a stringer.

Are you the guy I've been seeing at Colonial lake in the morning by the bridge?
