Was finally able to wet my lines after like 2weeks, so was excited whether I would catch or not. Hit the river around lunchtime & trooped around with some modified lures to try out & play with. Missed out on 7-8 pike because of lockjaw, lil bitches!! Managed to land 1 decent 5#r and miss out on one more that was def a biggun. Semi hooked into him but he took a strong run right after the set and was just unhooked. I'll get at him soon, hehe. No pics cuz of the monsoon but hopefully have some 2morrow.
Supposed to go surf fishing 2morrow & get some kinda beast!?! I can def use any pointers or tips for bait/rigs and what I might look for. Any info is appreciated, good look fellaz!

Stripers have been gone for over a week now. In the central/north nj areas anyway... That last cold snap blew em outta here. Some boats are still getting shorties but I'm pretty sure the surf bite is long over. You're prob better off jumping on a party boat to target some tog. They're chewing pretty good right now.

I would think twice about doing anything on the ocean for the at least the next 3 days with the strong NE winds! It's gonna be nasty out

North Northeast wind right in the face. Blowing hard. Get some bunker heads and launch them by the rocks at Sea Bright. Or go further south, maybe to the Asbury area!

Hah! That's exactly what the plans were but between the said winds & what my "saltwater" buddy was told by bait shops, trip was cancelled.
Hit the sweetwater while I was up early anyway from around 8-1 with no results at all. Threw it all at em and just wasn't doing it. Thanks for the salty info fellaz. Where's this ICE!?!

Ice is about 3 weeks away hopefully. Are you going to get in on the action? The more the merrier. November was much colder on average than in the past. December has been a roller coaster wether wise. It's a pretty normal year over all. Safe ice should be here around the holidays or New Years!!!!
