I grew up close to Olcott as a kid and had a bait shop that supplied many of the guys heading there. Wilson was a good place to go as well. I do miss catching those big ones, nice fighting fish! Nice fish you caught there...

18 Mile Creek in Niagara County that feeds into Lake Ontario had some good fishing grounds through the years. Don't know if it's still the same up there.....

Hey Andre, we left Sat. morning. Drove up Tues. night, fished Weds.-Fri.,stayed away from the dam. The fishing was great below the dam on those big rocks. we basically fished all 3 days there. Took a walk w my son to show him the zoo at the dam, haha. If possible, try to get up there midweek next time. Crowd not bad at all.
Browns were hitting brown trout egg sacks.

A bunch of my buddies have been going to Olcott for 9 years now. I was up there 8 years ago and it seems it hasn't changed. I don't plan on waiting another 8 years though! I think I may have to return next year with both my boys.:D

Ahhh I see ... Only got there on Saturday morning ... They stopped the dam on Saturday afternoon so water level dropped like crazy and fast.. and fishing was slow after that. Bridge area was producing all weekend but you right circus was in full session better to go on the weekday.
