Hit the sheds today hoping for some nice fall smallie action. Got to the launch at 6:45am (yea, sunrise was 7:24 today...) with 4 boats already in the water. I was expecting a good jerkbait day but it wasn't meant to be. All I found shallow was 1 pickerel. Going deeper, I managed 2 average size smallies, 1 average larry and 1 big pissed-off perch on a lipless crank in about 12-14 fow. I went searching and was marking decent fish between 33 and 35 fow tight to the bottom around bait balls. I introduced them to Mr. Binsky but only got 1 taker, a decent smallie around 3 lbs. Other than seeing the resident eagle and other normal wildlife, that was about it. A beautiful day to be on the water even if the fishing was mediocre. Sorry, no pics... nothing pic worthy today...

Mediocre? You weren't at work and you were in a beautiful area catching bass. Sounds like a great day to me.
