Hit the South Branch around Clinton today for little while. Non-stop action on trout and a few smallies as well. CD Raps and little stick baits were the trick today. Couldn't ask for a nicer fall day on the river! Of course all were released for the spring!

Amazing! That looks like a saltwater rapala pattern?
I wish i could find a nice river with trout near me. Been trying the Ramapo but trout seem to be rare already despite being stocked a few weeks ago.

Those fish look fake or airbrushed...great colors...really cool. Now they just gotta grow to 5 or 6 lbs and we're talkin'. Nice pic dude.

Beautiful picture! The colors on some of these trout is nothing less than spectacular. Browns, rainbows and especially wild brook trout when they get their fall colors are a thing of beauty. Great shot!

Great catch! I live right down the road from there, fish often near the trestle and power station falls toward camp carr. Lots of smallies in those waters, never get em very big but a load of fun on the UL gear. Will try the CD's in the area for the stockies this weekend. Seems the FEED is ON!

Andy - if you are ever in that part of the world again with a river cleanup...i am in.
